The MOMM Squad hit the ground running in Washington DC for the 40th annual March for Life with a schedule that included manning the Divine Mercy for America booth on Thursday and Friday at the March For Life Exhibition in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill. — at Hyatt Regency Washington DC.

Gathering on the Mall.

Of course the highlight of the weekend was the march itself. What an experience it was to join hundreds of thousands of people, young and old, from all over the US in a walk, united in spirit and cause, a great multitude of joyous hearts all wrapped up against the cold but with burning love in their hearts to warm a nation. For me there definitely was a collective spirit of love and power moving amongst the throng.

The Capitol building seemed off in the distance at first but steadily grew in size as we made our way up Constitution Avenue from the gathering area on the mall.

The 14th Annual Cardinal O'Connor Conference on Life at Georgetown University is the largest student sponsored Pro-Life conference. This years event was held the day after the march on Saturday, January 24. Although the conference is geared towards high school and college age this old man learned a lot about the Pro-life movement. Helen Alvare delivers the keynote in Gaston Hall. Mr. Saunders is on the Supreme Court bar and shared with us that in 2007 the Supreme Court opened the door for States to legislate abortion. He stressed the importance of continued and increased political involvement especially at the stat level to reduce the number of legal abortions. — at Healy Hall.
